ICRICertified.jpgAs a family-owned and operated company, CPC takes pride in providing our customers the best and most efficient floor coatings in the Southeast. Our hard work is shown through many happy customers over the years of our existence. That’s why we’re very excited to announce CPC has two managerial staff members that are fully ICRI (International Concrete Repair Institute) Certified for Moisture Testing!

With ICRI, there are 2 tiers that applicants may apply for. Tier 1 is for applicants who are not regularly engaged in slab moisture testing, but do have an interest in understanding the tests. Tier 2 applicants are those applicants who seek full certification because they are regularly engaged in slab moisture testing.

Tier 2, called ICRI Concrete Slab Moisture Testing Technician—Grade 1, consists of a 3-hour educational session, written exam, and a field testing performance exam. By passing both the written and field testing performance exams, an ICRI Concrete Slab Moisture Testing Technician—Grade 1 certification will be issued by ICRI. Those who become certified will be added to the ICRI Certified Concrete Slab Moisture Testing Technician database on the ICRI website. This certification is valid for five (5) years from the date of completion of all applicable certification requirements. For more information on Tier 1, check out ICRI’s website.

Achieving a Grade 1 ICRI certification demonstrates CPC Floor Coating’s commitment to excellence in the field of floor coatings. We have mentioned repeatedly how vital surface preparation is to the successful installation of flooring systems, and a huge part of that is moisture mitigation. Proper moisture testing is the keystone of any successful floor coating installation, so having ICRI Certified Moisture Testing Technicians on our team means you can rest assured that your project is in the best possible hands.
